NewseumED
NewseumED is a website that provides information related to key events in history such as, the First Amendment, 9/11, Civil Rights, Women's Rights, Elections, and many more. The website provides with primary sources, lesson plans, and activities, maps, quizzes and much more! The documents provided can be easily filtered and sorted by topics, theme, century, state, grade, format, and copyright. In addition, NewseumED provides with "ED Classes & Training" which provides access to virtual classes, professional development for teachers, and adult team building programs. I find this website to be useful for any Social Studies/History teacher because of the primary sources provided. Teachers can browse the "ED Tools" to find materials which can be related to a lesson. Teachers can probably also assign a virtual class to students and ask them to complete the course independently or in small groups. I believe this website can be resourceful and help enrich your history lesson a tad bit!
