BrainPop

Have you ever had a hard time searching up a youtube video to incorporate in your lesson plan? Well, let me take your troubles away and introduce you to BrainPop! BrainPop is an educational website with thousands of videos about subjects ranging from math to social studies. These animated short movies are for students K-12 so it really covers a wide variety of content. After watching the video, students are able to take a quiz to test their knowledge and see if they’ve understood everything from the video. The videos are very fun and engaging as they always put a little bit of humour in all of them. Material doesn’t seem boring for students anymore and they are automatically more interested then they previously were about the topic.

Personal Experience: I have used BrainPop a lot when I was in Elementary and Middle school. It was one of the most beneficial tools to help me learn and my teachers incorporated it a lot. I was able to learn many new and interesting material in a fun and engaging way. The videos didn’t exceed five minutes so I didn’t lose focus either.
