Grammarly
Everyone's seen the ads, we all have a general idea as to what Grammarly is. But, unfortunately, not many people have actually tried it. Grammarly is essentially your portable online editor. You can install Grammarly's free version (or pay for it if you want higher level editing, but the free version is perfect for students,) for Microsoft Office, Windows, Chrome, or some combination of the three. Grammarly will then track what you type on those programs and suggest edits and revisions whenever it detects a grammatical error. Not only will Grammarly show you your errors and offer corrections, Grammarly will explain to you what the error was so that you can learn from your mistakes. Based on what versions you download, Grammarly will help you edit what you write in emails, social media posts, documents, presentations, and much more. You can also go to Grammarly's website and type and save documents right there. I personally use Grammarly all the time, and I think that all students should download it. It catches the spelling and grammar mistakes that you accidentally miss when you proofread your papers, and it saves you time when you're trying to get last minute assignments done. I can think of no better resource for students than Grammarly.
