CodinGame
When looking to improve logic skills, the more practice that is available, the better. Sometimes developing activities that are both challenging and engaging can be a very difficult task for a software development teacher. That is where CodinGame excels. CodinGame is an online based platform that consists of hundreds of gamified programming challenges that work to improve specific aspects of the software development process. The mini-games are set up in a way that will continue to increase the complexity of the puzzles that need to be solved using programming skills across dozens of different languages. Since it is in the form of a game, participants will get a score after each level. This is a great incentive to put maximum effort and engagement into what they are working on. While not an educational platform, this tool can be an excellent source of continued practice for out of classroom time, or can be used to reinforce concepts during an in-class activity. I have used CodinGame to keep my skills sharp, and I can speak directly to how effective and exciting it can be to work through the puzzles. Whether you’re teaching algorithms or looking to give coding a try, CodinGame is a great place to hone your skills!
