Smithsonian Education

Rather than lecturing your student’s ears off or having them redundantly read chapters from their textbooks, why not try making learning fun? With Smithsonian Education that is completely possible. Smithsonian Education offers support for everyone, whether you are an educator, a student, or a parent. This interactive website allows the freedom for students to explore many different topics, from African masks, to Vikings, to walking on the moon. Students are given the opportunity to explore in topics in a variety of ways. Smithsonian Education has games, virtual tours, videos, and more to engage your students in an interactive way. You don’t have the tools for all your students to go online during the class? Not a problem! Smithsonian Education also offers educators free lesson plans, webinars, learning labs, and activity sheets for the classroom.

This resource is a great way to engage students and keep their interest in learning up! The more fun, and the less it actually feels like learning, the more that students will feel motivated to keep going!
