Small-Town Teacher Makes Big Impact for Her School District

As I was browsing through my social media this weekend, I came across a page that was titled, "She's Selflessly Making an Impact at Age 24", which underneath featured an image of a woman on the Ellen Degeneres talk show. I clicked the link to watch the video and watched as this woman explained her story, stating that she taught as an Occupational Therapist  in one of the poorest counties in her state and probably in the entire country. She mentions that she works with students who come from low socio-economics families. She also states that she tries to supply her students with technology like iPads with her own money in order to get them familiar with using these devices for the future, due to the fact that her school district is unable to afford the luxuries of computers and other high-tech devices. At the end of the video, she receives a very generous gift, as is typical of most guests on the Ellen Degeneres show, from a company named Shutterfly. Her reaction is priceless and goes to show just how dedicated she is to her work and that all teachers should be in order to give their students the best education they can with what they have.

Below is a link to the video from the show found on ellentube.com
