Seesaw

Seesaw is a student-driven portfolio that inspires students to do their best work to share with their teachers and peers. Students are able to use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos to capture their learning. When the students work is posted, peers are encouraged to reflect and give feedback. Peers can provide constructive criticism, suggestions for improvements and provide encouragement. Before any feedback is posted teachers have the opportunity to review comments to ensure that it is constructive and appropriate.  

Teachers are able to create and share activities to students, do assessments and collect work. This allows students and teachers to interact around their work. Teachers can create up to 100 activities with the free seesaw account, up to 500 activities with the seesaw plus account and unlimited activities with the seesaw for school account! Teachers save time by having few papers to grade and collect student’s assignments digitally. 

Seesaw is also a family engagement app. It allows teachers to effectively communicate with parents, and keep them informed about their child’s work. When parents are involved with their child’s work, the child is much more motivated work.
