Netflix

When considering major entertainment services, the word "educational" may not immediately come to mind. However, there is indeed educational value in services as such as Netflix. In my opinion, Netflix has a large variety of shows containing educational value for all ages. I have had teachers use Netflix simply for us to implement our knowledge and understanding of Spanish while watching a foreign film, or study the important elements that go into creating a compelling story line. You could learn about wildlife and nature in a show as such as Planet Earth for a class like Biology. You could create meaningful discussion about technology after watching any episode of Black Mirror. The possibilities are endless and we shouldn't limit ourselves as educators.
