NASA app+website

The NASA app is a free app that helps students explore space from virtually anywhere. The NASA app is great for everyone at any age, who wants to learn more about space, but is also extremely helpful for elementary students when they are learning about the solar system. On this app, NASA shares current news happening, images of and from space, videos, and audios to listen to, to learn more about what you are interested in. It also shares TV, mission schedules, sightings, tweets, and a featured tab, in which you can learn more about the solar system, what NASA is doing and what they have done, and future missions. The NASA App is perfect for when you have free time in the classroom and want your students to still learn about a unit they may be learning about. Additionally, you can go on the NASA website to access more features such as games, ebooks, and more. So whether you want to learn more about space and what NASA is doing right now, or if you want your students to take control of their own learning, while still maintaining the curriculum, NASA is the perfect place to do so. It is very interactive and has a wide variety of different things for you to do based on your interests. They even have a tab labeled ‘for students’ to be able to find activities based on their grade level. My favorite part of the website is tied, they have astronauts teach lessons from space and they share cool experiments you can do at home. This is so great because when students are learning from home they can turn their kitchen into a laboratory! Overall I highly recommend using these tools in your classroom because they are so interesting and very educational!
