Once visiting their site, find the link labeled “Play Now” under the header of “Learn to Code”. There you will find a role-playing game layout with easy to follow instructions and how to both progress through the game and learn code at the same time! Simply start by choosing your character and learn the programming languages JavaScript, Python, and CoffeeScript, as well as the basics of computer science! In order to progress through the game's levels, you must prove your knowledge by writing code along the way. CodeCombat includes both single-player and multi-player components and is perfect for middle school and high school students.
