STEM-works is an entire online portal focused on only one thing and that is spreading STEM knowledge and activities. The website features 9 main STEM topics that range from robotics, the animal kingdom, video games, medical innovations and a few more. There is a 10th the section for miscellaneous STEM subjects. For each subject, there are activities, recent articles from various online resources, upcoming events, lessons created by other teachers/community members, and cool jobs that use STEM for each particular subject. The website even shows locations around the U.S. that integrate STEM learning such as what science and hands-on museums are located where and also where different events are happening and when. There is the main activities page with all activities that teachers can use in their own classrooms like building a galaxy and a virtual tour of a forensic biology lab. This website would be great for teachers to use because it is very organized and provides everything a teacher would need to implement an activity or lesson besides the physical materials. The activities range from very hands on to use of main technology at a desk so teachers could differentiate their instruction by using different ones.It is easy to browse lessons and find ones that correspond with learning goals and the interest of students. Because there are so many fun topics like extreme weather and the animal kingdom, there’s surely something here for all students to like. It’s also very cool that you can look at the map and find science museums that are near you and upcoming STEM events. This would be a great help in planning a field trip or professional development. Because the website is so easy to navigate, students could easily explore it on their own to read articles and learn about different jobs in STEM. Overall, this website provides teachers with a plethora of STEM information and activities all in one place and can give teachers an out of the box way to teach a basic STEM lesson that kids will actually be very interested in.

Honorable Mention: NASA Stem. I was blown away by how many free resources there are for teachers on NASA’s STEM website. Teachers can get materials from real life space shuttles and plan lessons that are designed by NASA! Definitely, one of my favorite resources we have learned about in class.
