Commonsense.org is a great resource that does just what the name says. It organizes education related topics in a way that makes sense. It’s fairly easy to use and has something for anyone interested in education and helping children do their best. It has three broad categories; parents, educators, and advocates. The parents section has more resources than can be listed practically in this post. It allows parents to find appropriate books, movies, and digital resources to help their child. The educator section has reviews of resources with links to useful websites. It also offers lesson plans to use and teaching tips. It offers professional development courses for schools to use. In the advocate section, it highlights legislation that will have an impact on education. It has a section that allows users to pick which state to look at to see what state legislatures are doing concerning education. The is an excellent resource to make use of.
